Wire Indonesia 2018 will assemble stakeholders in the wire industries such as the manufacturers, suppliers and service providers for the wire, cable, and springmaking industries.
The apparent opportunity in Indonesia is the ever increasing demand of wire and cable in Indonesia which supported by the growth of infrastructure developments regardless of the downturn of metal industry in 2015 and early 2016.
The infrastructure development supported by the increasing of the total government infrastructure spending by a substantial 51% from US$ 11.7bn in 2014 to US$ 15.5bn in 2015 as well as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) that in total, FDI reached US$ 29.27bn in 2015, a 2.6% rise from US$ 28.53bn in 2014, while in key infrastructure-related sectors, FDI also increased by 9.6% in 2015. In case of the high the utilization rate of wire and cable in Indonesia; there are tremendous demand to increase the capacity as well as quality of wire and cable production.
Aside from Indonesia's infrastructure development, wire and cable industry is one of the supporting industry which defined as priority industry due to its function as enabling factor for effective, efficient, integrated and comprehensive industrial development in Indonesia.
